Fractus targets fast-rising connected logistics market with new asset tracking deal

Agreement with a major industry player strengthens Fractus’ position in one of IoT’s fastest-growing logistics segments Barcelona, May 21 2026 - Fractus has signed an agreement with a major provider of asset tracking solutions for fleet and cargo applications, strengthening its position in one of the fastest-growing segments of the industrial IoT market. The company behind the agreement is a global player in tracking and monitoring solutions used across logistics and supply chain operations, with a strong footprint in high-value cargo and connected asset visibility. For Fractus, the deal marks an important step deeper into a vertical where reliable wireless performance is essential for real-time monitoring, telematics and large-scale asset intelligence. The timing is significant. The fleet and cargo tracking market is expanding rapidly as logistics operators invest in better visibility, condition monitoring and control across mobile assets. According to Berg Insights, annual shipments of cargo and cargo-carrying unit tracking solutions are forecast to grow from 1.9 million units in 2024 to 3.7 million units in 2029, a 13.6% compound annual growth rate. Over the same period, the installed base is expected to rise from 5.8 million to 13.7 million units. “This agreement is important for Fractus because it reinforces our role in a high-growth IoT segment where connectivity performance directly impacts product value,” said Jordi Ilario, CEO at Fractus. “As tracking solutions become more sophisticated and more widely deployed across trailers, containers, pallets and other cargo assets, antenna technology becomes increasingly critical to delivering reliable, real-time data.” The agreement also reflects a broader shift in the logistics industry, where asset tracking is moving from a niche capability to a core operational requirement. As supply chains become more digital, the ability to connect assets reliably, at scale and in demanding field conditions is becoming a competitive differentiator. For Fractus, the deal adds further momentum in IoT markets where scale, performance and long-term technology relevance matter most. About Fractus Fractus is a global leader in antenna innovation for wireless and IoT applications, helping device manufacturers accelerate development and optimize connectivity performance across a wide range of connected products.

Fractus and Verizon settle patent litigation

Barcelona, Spain – March 25, 2026 – Fractus, the pioneer in antenna technology and IP licensing, today announced that it has reached a settlement with Verizon, resolving the patent infringement litigation Fractus filed in December 2024 in the United States District Court for the Eastern District of Texas (Case No. 2:24-cv-01009). In fleet management, and across the broader Internet of Things (IoT), the difference between “connected” and “offline” often comes down to one critical, but often overlooked component: the antenna. Fractus’ patented antenna innovations are foundational to modern IoT connectivity, enabling compact, high-performance multi-band antennas that support demanding real-world deployments – including connected vehicles in fleet management – alongside other prominent verticals such as smart home, industrial IoT, and asset tracking. Such IoT devices must operate across multiple frequency bands, in challenging environments, and within strict size constraints, and Fractus’ geometry-based approach to antenna design has helped the IoT industry meet these demands, thereby supporting the evolution of connected products and services. “Fractus has invested heavily in research and development to create antenna technologies that are integrated across many IoT applications” said Jordi Ilario, Chief Executive Officer of Fractus. “We are pleased to have reached a resolution with Verizon. Fractus remains committed to protecting its intellectual property and to ensuring a level playing field for companies that respect innovation.” Ruben Bonet, Fractus’ Executive Chairman, added: “Connectivity is only as strong as the antenna innovations that make it possible. Fractus’ inventions have helped accelerate the evolution of wireless devices across the IoT ecosystem. We will continue to defend our patented technology and to engage constructively with organizations that recognize the value of intellectual property rights.” In December 2024, Fractus filed patent infringement lawsuits against Geotab and Verizon in the Eastern District of Texas (Case Nos. 2:24-cv-01008 and 2:24-cv-01009), alleging unauthorized use of Fractus’ patented antenna innovations developed to enable advanced connectivity solutions in fleet management, asset tracking, and aftermarket telematics. About Fractus Fractus is an early pioneer in developing antenna technology for smartphones, tablets and other wireless IoT devices and holds a patent portfolio of more than 40 inventions. Among the numerous awards and honors the company has received for its innovative work, Fractus was named 2005 Davos World Economic Forum Technology Pioneer, Fractus’ inventors were finalists for the European Inventor Award 2014 and in April 2017 received the “European Inspiring Company Award” by the London Stock Exchange.

Fractus expands U.S. connected safety licensing via RPX agreement

Barcelona, Spain — February 11, 2026 — Fractus, a pioneer in antenna technology and intellectual property (IP) licensing, announced today a new patent licensing agreement with licensing aggregator RPX Corporation that expands the Fractus family of licensees. The agreement reflects continued adoption of connected safety devices that depend on compact, high-performance, multiband antennas—whether installed in monitored alarm panels, hubs or home base stations, cameras, wearables, or pendant devices. By bringing multiple implementers under a single negotiation process, the parties completed an efficient, non-contentious licensing transaction aligned with Fractus’ licensing models. RPX’s experienced, innovative approach to dealmaking delivered an efficient licensing solution for its members and for Fractus—without wasting time, money, and goodwill on legal disputes that can hinder optimal outcomes for stakeholders. “This RPX agreement reflects a pragmatic path to licensing at scale,” said Jordi Ilario, CEO of Fractus. “This agreement underscores the momentum of connected safety in the U.S. and adds several respected providers to our licensee community.” Demand for connected safety devices is accelerating, thereby increasing the need for miniature, multiband antenna technology that supports reliable connectivity. Berg Insight estimates there were 36.0 million active monitored alarm systems in the U.S. and Canada at the end of 2023, and forecasts this will grow to 42.9 million by 2028. In medical alert systems, Berg Insight estimates the North American user base will rise from 5.2 million in 2023 to 7.5 million in 2028, with market value growing from €2.7 billion (US$2.9 billion) in 2023 to €4.1 billion (US$4.5 billion) by 2028. About Fractus Fractus is an early pioneer in the application of advanced geometry and mathematics to antenna design. The company’s patented innovations enable compact, high-performance, multiband antennas that are widely used across smartphones, IoT devices, network infrastructure, and connected health applications. Fractus holds a portfolio covering more than 40 inventions and its technology has been licensed by leading global companies. Among other recognitions, Fractus was named a 2005 World Economic Forum Technology Pioneer; its inventors were finalists for the European Inventor Award in 2014; and in 2017 the company received the “European Inspiring Company Award” from the London Stock Exchange Group.
