Barcelona, Spain, April 3, 2020 – Fractus, headquartered in Barcelona, sued TCL for infringing patents owned by Fractus covering internal antenna technology for wireless devices.
Fractus’ antenna technology is used in most of the devices integrating multiband antennas. Fractus’ family of licensees has grown over the years with companies such as ZTE, Samsung, LG, HTC, Asus and Motorola amongst others. This demonstrates how solid the technologies are and how fundamental are to the connected devices market.
Recently, Fractus settled a multiyear patent litigation with ZTE after having sued the company in 2017. Fractus uses litigation as a last resource to stop infringers and to create a level playing field for the protection of its licensees. Fractus is a European high-tech SME committed to defend its IP rights all over the world.
Fractus is represented in its case against TCL by Max Tribble, Justin Nelson and Joe Grinstein of Susman Godfrey L.L.P. The case has been filed in the Eastern District of Texas.
