Barcelona, Spain & London, UK – 23 September 2019 – Fractus and its licensing partner Vectis announce that they have reached a patent licensing agreement with Asustek Computer Inc., an international corporation operating in the laptop and smartphone industries.
Jordi Ilario, Fractus VP Licensing, said: “Fractus antenna technology provides a response to the wireless connectivity requirements of today. Fractus R&D efforts are once again acknowledged with the execution of this new patent licensing agreement”.

This license agreement is further affirmation of the importance of Fractus technology to a wider wireless handheld device ecosystem that extends beyond smartphones and includes laptops and other portable devices”.
Earlier this month, IDC forecasted that “by 2023 10% of detachable tablets will have built in 5G which is in addition to another 29% running 4G. Meanwhile, the number of ultraslim and convertible notebooks with cellular connectivity is also expected to grow with a double-digit CAGR”. Fractus and Vectis have been working together to license the antenna technology the market needs to reduce antenna size, improve multiband performance, and ultimately, produce better handheld devices for an ever more connected world.
